Double vision

Driving across Missouri and Iowa last week, I saw a lot of "new babies on the ground." Translated, that means that a lot of cattlemen are calving in January/February. My husband and I raise Simmental cattle. He called me while I was on the road last week to tell me this cow had twins. Again. She will turn four years old on March 17 and has had a total of five calves. Her first year was a single birth, but her '05 and '06 crops are twins. The two bulls were up and nursing in no time. Good weather in mid-Missouri hasn't hurt.
